*Everyone’s favorite Peruvian bear is back for seconds!
Paddington spreads marmalade ever where he goes and this time he’s using it to hunt the perfect present and catch a caper.
“Paddington 2“ rolls into theaters this Friday and EUR correspondent Fahnia Thomas spoke with the cast about adult marmalade and ‘galactical’ adventures.
EUR: Where should Paddington’s next adventure take place?
Hugh Bonneville (Henry Brown): He should be set on a beautiful sandy beach where it is warm but not too hot. Or Paddington should go back to Peru and meet the rest of his family.
Simon Farnaby (Writer): Space because everybody wants to see a bear in space.
Paul King (Director): [Jokingly] Space camp because every sequel at some point sends the characters to space. That’s the rule.
EUR: What’s your favorite marmalade?
Paul King: There’s a very nice whiskey flavored marmalade that I like but it’s not going to get you hammered.
Hugh Bonneville: I used to like marmalade a lot and then after the first film came out a lot of my friends thought it would be very touching to send me marmalade…I have a lot of friends so I now have an entire pantry full of marmalade.
Simon Farnaby: I don’t like the chunks in marmalade.
EUR: Why should viewers go out and see “Paddington 2?”
Hugh Grant (Phoenix Buchanan): Well, as a father it keeps them quiet for an hour and a half, that’s the number one reason.
Hugh Bonneville: And two because it’s genuinely an enjoyable film for grown-ups. You don’t need to go with kids. It’s open in Britain, where it’s been very popular and people are openly admitting that they are either going back to see it again or going without their kids.
